Robin Barker

Co-Founder robin@healthyteenminds.com

Robin co-founded We Can Talk in 2017 while working as a senior mental health nurse in specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). He is the Chief Executive of Healthy Teen Minds, the lead We Can Talk partner, which he founded to empower young people to create change through coproduction. Robin provides strategic support, guidance and oversight to the We Can Talk project.

Chris Kerr

Chris is the National Director of We Can Talk and a dual trained registered nurse (adult and child) with more than 30 years experience and specialist qualifications in emergency care, paediatric intensive care, autonomous practice and practice education. Chris was part of the original We Can Talk pilot project and has continued to work with us alongside senior roles at Health Education England and various NHS trusts. Chris oversees the delivery of the We Can Talk project providing expert advice, leadership and training alongside her operational roles.


Coproduction and People Coordinator stuart@healthyteenminds.com

Stuart ensures that the We Can Talk project is meaningfully co-designed & co-delivered and leads on team development and wellbeing. Stuart has a strong interest in and experience of co-production influenced by his lived experience and involvement in national advisory groups for a range of organisations including the Care Quality Commission (CQC), National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) and the Mental Health Foundation. He is committed to ensuring young people are involved in service co-design to help shape services for young people and people with long term health conditions. He is currently studying towards an MSc in Human Factors and Patient safety.

Jodie Devereux

Jodie is the Team Coordinator for the We Can Talk project, she helps keep everything on track and is a source of information, advice and guidance on all things We Can Talk. Jodie has over 6 years of project management experience in the charity sector which gives her the skills and she needs to support the team and our network of Project Leads by taking care of the day to day administration and coordination at We Can Talk.

Liv, Nadia, Kenya, Jas & Jo

Young Advisors team@wecantalk.online

Our Young Advisors are young people aged 18-25 with lived experience of presenting to hospital due to their mental health. They co-design and co-deliver training, resources and events for We Can Talk, plus regularly speak at external conferences and webinars. They help ensure that everything we do amplifies the voice of people with lived experience.

Our We Can Talk family includes our amazing Project Leads, frontline clinicians from acute and mental health working together to lead the project locally, and our network of Associate Trainers from various backgrounds – lived experience, CAMHS and acute.
